No-Bake Strawberry and Blueberry Trifle

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. strawberries; washed hulled, and sliced
  • 1 lb blueberries
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 TBS sugar
  • 17 oz. pound cake
  • 2 packages 8 oz. each cream cheese
  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine 1/4 cup water, 2 TBS sugar and 2 TBS lemon juice.
  2. Stir until dissolved
  3. Beat together 1 lb. cream cheese and 3/4 cup sugar on medium speed
  4. Pour in whipping cream and beat until consistence of whipped cream
  5. Add 1/2 tsp. vanilla and beat to mix well
  6. Place 1/3 of the pound cake into the bottom of your trifle dish
  7. Brush it with the lemon and sugar mixture
  8. Spread 1/3 of the cream cheese filling mixture on top of the pound cake
  9. Add 1/2 of the sliced strawberries
  10. Repeat the process using 1/2 of the blueberries
  11. Frost the top with the remaining frosting and cover with blueberries and strawberries
