Stenciled Burlap Banner for Fall

Earlier this week, I showed you my Fall Mantel. After I posted it, I decided that something was missing and that something was a banner. The Stenciled Burlap Banner that I made took about 10 minutes. All I needed was a stencil, sponge stenciling brush, burlap, paint, jute and small clothespins.
I used a small alphabet stencil to paint the letters onto the burlap.
For the two flags on the end, I used a pencil eraser to make the circles. It doesn’t have to be perfect. I think it looks better if it’s not.
I attached the banner to the jute with some small clothespins and hung it on the mantel. This was one of the easiest projects I have ever done and I love the way it looks. Now I think my mantel is complete.
