Who doesn’t love a good BBQ recipe? We are always grilling out during the summer and I’m always on the hunt for new flavor combos. Have you ever tried grilled fruit? Trust me, it’s delicious. Fruit is my new favorite food to grill and today I’m sharing a delicious recipe for Grilled BBQ Chicken and Pineapple Skewers.
BBQ Chicken is kind of a staple here in the South. Where I live, the BBQ sauce is vinegar based but I’m more of a red BBQ sauce type of girl. The one thing that I DON’T like about BBQ sauce is all the high fructose corn syrup that is added to it. I’d rather have mine with regular ol’ sugar. So I was super excited to learn that Weber has a new line of BBQ sauces out with NO HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP made especially for the grill! So that is what I used to create this amazing dish.

Grilled BBQ Chicken and Pineapple
Ingredients
- chicken tenderloins
- pineapple chunks
- Weber Original BBQ Sauce
- Skewers
Instructions
-
Soak your skewers in water for approximately 30 minutes. If you are using metal skewers, you can skip this step
-
Cut the chicken tenderloins in thirds and thread one onto a skewer
-
Thread a pineapple chunk onto the skewer
-
Alternate chicken and pineapple until you have about 3-4 pieces of chicken on each skewer
-
Place skewers on aluminum foil and place onto center of the grill
-
If you are using a gas grill, light the burners on the outside of the grill but do not light the burner directly underneath the chicken. This keeps the chicken nice a juicy and it does not dry out
-
Cook the skewers for about 5 minutes on indirect heat, turning them.
-
Brush the BBQ sauce on,and cook until done
-
Remove skewers from grill and enjoy
Cut some pineapple chunks…
Thread them onto skewers with some chicken and grill over indirect heat. Brush with BBQ sauce near the end of cooking. Check out how the BBQ sauce sticks to the food! Delicious BBQ flavor in every bite.
In addition to the Original flavored BBQ sauce, Weber also offers other flavors in its reformulated line like Honey, Hickory, Sweet ‘N Spicy and Applewood Brown Sugar. Can you say YUM?
Each sauce is made with high-quality ingredients and contain no high fructose corn syrup, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives. That’s a win in my book! You can pick these up in your local grocery store for $3.49 each.If you like using rubs on your meat, Weber also offers Chili Lime, Honey Garlic, Sriracha and Kansas City BBQ flavored rubs.
What is YOUR favorite grilling recipe? And more importantly, am I invited over for dinner?
