Coastal Mantel

Summer is here and with it comes a revamp of the mantel. Or shelf, in this case. This shelf is located over the tv.
I decorated it with the “Family” Wall Art that I posted a tutorial on previously. The decorative vases are from the dollar store. I refer to them as dollar store hurricane glasses. Two hurricane vases, two candle sticks and some glue. Turn the candle sticks upside down and glue to the vases. Ba-da-bing. Ba-da-boom. I made these last year around Thanksgiving for table decorations. You can fill them with anything. The sand and shells located inside the hurricane glasses are from our recent trip to the beach. Its just one more perk about living so close….we go to the beach when my husband gets off work. No crowds, less heat, and an hour or so of daylight left to search for seashells.
But getting back to the mantel….the rest of the items are things that I already had. I swiped the starfish from some bathroom decor and some twine balls from a vase I had on display. So, there you go…. Coastal Mantel. Hope you like it.
