Summer is still going strong here in North Carolina. I know that Back to School time is here but when the temperature is mid-nineties, all I can think about is sipping a cold summer drink. This month, the theme in our Creative Bloggers group is Citrus so I took classic lemonade and gave it a little twist with basil. To make it the perfect beverage, I froze it into a Basil Lemonade Slushie.
I really like the flavor that the basil adds to the drink. I first experimented with basil in drinks last summer with my Strawberry Basil Lemonade. Basil is such a unique flavor and gives the drink a little unexpected kick. Add some vodka and you have the perfect adult drinky drink.
