HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope you all had a great celebration last night. We had a little family party at our house. Since my kids would not make it till midnight in any shape or form, I thought I’d get a little sneaky. I found a You Tube video of the countdown from last year. Everything was great until my 6-year old asked “Why does it say 2012?” Oops. I guess I’ll have to get a new plan this year.
With a New Year comes a new mantel. I decided to go with a champagne bubbles theme this year.
I filled champagne glasses and a hurricane vase with gold, silver and white ornaments to represent the bubbles.
The two vases on either side of the subway art printable are actually candlestick holders with votive holders on top.
I got the subway art from eighteen25.
They have the most adorable subway art for free! I love how the colors in the subway art coordinate perfectly with my mantel.
For the “bubbles” hanging from the window, I used a 2″ circle punch to cut out cream and sparkly scrapbook paper. I strung the circles together with fishing line by threading the fishing line through a needed and then through the center of each circle. I taped another circle to the back to finish off the look before hanging from the window
I’m ready to tackle the New Year!
Now I just have to take my Christmas Tree down 🙂
I’d love to see YOUR mantel. Leave a link in the comments so I can take a look.
