These homemade sugar scrub recipes will slough away dry skin in no-time flat!
I’m sitting here dreaming of warmer weather and planning my attack for beach season. Every year it somehow sneaks up on me and that first trip to the beach is not pretty when it comes to my skin. I look like some sort of scaly monster from the dinosaur era. I love using sugar scrubs to remove dry flaky skin and today I have 5 homemade sugar scrub recipes for you to try.

Supplies to Make Homemade Sugar Scrub Recipes
First, you will need containers for your sugar scrubs. I like to use mason jars. Be sure to use a glass container because a plastic container can break down some of the ingredients.
Next, you’ll want some essential oils on hand. My favorite oils for scrubs are lemon, lavender and peppermint. If you are interested in purchasing oils, you can learn all about them here. You’ll also need sugar and coconut oil.
Finally, you’ll need a kitchen mixer. This is the mixer that I use. I’ve had it for over 10 years and it’s still going strong. If you don’t have a mixer, a hand-held mixer will work too.
