I crafted a Thanksgiving/Christmas bunting banner to add to our holiday decorations this year and although it was not ready to display for Thanksgiving, it has been up since the beginning of December.

Here is how you can make one:

It is reversible so one side says Christmas and the other side says Give Thanks. There is an extra flag at the end of the Christmas side mainly because I miscounted and thought there were the same number of letters in each. Turns out, there is not.

I cut out triangles from craft foam using an exacto knife. I used scrapbook paper in Christmas and Fall themes to cover the triangles. I adhered the paper to the foam using modge podge. For the letters, I traced chipboard letters onto cardstock, cut out and adhered with modge podge. I then gave the entire triangle another coat of modge podge. I punched holes in the corners of the triangles and strung them together with ribbon. And voila! My very own Thanksgiving/Christmas bunting banner. Maybe nest year I’ll take a picture of the Give Thanks side. I think this looks great hanging in the space between our buffet table and the windows. The windows are high and an odd shape and I never knew what to do with this wall until now.
