Autumn is my absolute favorite season.  I am looking forward to the weather getting a bit cooler, some pumpkin patch pickin’ and some Fall festivals.  I love the colors of Autumn…. the red and golden hues.  My wedding anniversary is also in Autumn which makes the season even sweeter.   I even wanted to name my daughter Autumn since she was born in November. Unfortunately, I was vetoed on that one.

In order to bring a bit of the season into my home, I made my Autumn Wreath for my door last week.  This was probably one of the easiest, quickest projects I have ever done and I am in love with the result.  I was inspired by this wreath that was linked up to my Fabulous Friday party.

Here are the supplies that I used to make the wreath:

Grapevine wreath
2 glass bead picks
1 pick with pumpkin, gourd, leaves and berries

All I did was stick the picks into the wreath.  How easy is that?? I did not use any glue because I wanted to be able to re-use the grapevine wreath for other seasons.  None of the picks have fallen out yet so I think it will hold up well without glue.

I am in LOVE with the colored glass beads.

The berries make me think of walks in the woods on crisp days.

I love how it turned out.  It is the perfect touch for my front door.

How are you decorating for this season?

  1. I’ve been using the same grapevine wreath since January and have changed it four times now! It’s the best…inexpensive and I don’t have to find a place to store unused wreaths 🙂

Autumn is my favorite season also…it doesn’t get much better!!

  2. Those color glass beads are awesome! So pretty! Unfortunately, I have a wreath graveyard in my basement because I have a slight addiction to them. I’m thinking of using the grapevine one for spring!! =)

  3. Pretty, pretty! I’m a new follower from the blog hop! Thanks for co-hosting… Have a great week!
