There are a few huge superhero fans in our family. So when I told my kids that we were going to have a Captain America Party, they were beyond thrilled. I LOVE hosting any type of parties but kids parties are extra fun. Here are some details of the day and some free printables so you can easily put together your own Captain America Party.
I purchased most of my supplies in the party section of Walmart. I was able to make an amazing backdrop with simple red and blue stars and I found the mother-load of M&Ms® at this display.
I made Captain America cupcakes using red and blue M&Ms to create my version of the shield on each cupcake. On a few, I just created the letter “A” with the M&Ms. I used boxed cake mix and a tub of frosting. Super easy and super fun!
M&Ms are so easy to decorate with. You can easily make so many cute designs with them and turn your cupcakes from ho-hum to heroes! And everyone knows that #HeroesEatMMs.
In addition to cupcakes, I also had blueberries and strawberries as healthy snack options. A great party tip of mine is to use food that color coordinates with your theme. I also used these red and blue star serving dishes. I bought them for our July 4th party a few years ago and they worked perfect for this party as well.
To drink I served red gatorade in mason jars. Something as simple as a mason jar can really dress up a party. Yes, I could have used paper cups but I love the look of mason jars decorated with wrappers and a straw.
Vintage Captain America even made an appearance.
The kids had a great time pretending they were superheros for the afternoon and enjoying their superhero snacks.
As they were leaving, they each got a goody bag filled with gumballs and M&Ms.

This is super cute and super fun!!! I’m getting ready to do my son’s Captain America themed party as well. I have a lot of ideas already.. Just a question, I wanted to download your free water bottle labels; what paper did you use and how did you attach them to the jars. I’m using mine on water bottles.

Hi Rachelle! I’m so glad that you like my party and printables! I used heavy white cardstock to print the labels. You can also use glossy photo paper. If you use the photo paper, the ink will not smear if it gets wet.
