Football season is upon us which means Sunday Fundays! In our house, we root for the Baltimore Ravens. But since we do not live in Baltimore anymore, we can’t tailgate. But we CAN couchgate! Yes, we call our weekly football party a couchgate. And what is a football party without the snacks? Recently, we tried the new Veggie Snack Chips from Green Giant in Multigrain Sweet Potato BBQ and Roasted Veggie Garden Ranch. My husband and I liked the Sweet Potato the best and my kids opted for the ranch.

To complement the Sweet Potato BBQ chips, I made a Blue Cheese Dip. I figure, BBQ chicken wings with blue cheese is a staple at our couchgate. Why not a blue cheese dip for our Sweet Potato BBQ chips?

Here’s what you need for the dip:

2 pints sour cream
5 ounces blue cheese
1/4 cup chopped shallots
Salt and pepper to taste
Green onion for garnish

Place everything into a food processor (except the green onion) and blend. Pour into a serving dish and garnish with green onion. Simple and yummy.

Green Giant’s Veggie Snack Chips are a great healthy alternative to potato chips.   The Sweet Potato chips have 14 grams of whole grain and 120 calories per serving. The Garden Ranch has 18 grams of whole grain and 130 calories per serving. I feel good giving them to my kids and they have no idea that there are veggies mixed in. Score!
