My herbs are off to a great start this year. I love to use fresh herbs that I can pick right outside my back door from my herb pot garden. However, I thought my current herb pots needed some sprucing up this year so I created some vinyl labels to use as markers for my pots.
I painted my herb garden pots last year using Valspar spray paint specially designed for outdoor use. The spray paint was both paint and primer combined, which is key! I chose to paint my herb garden pots bright colors that coordinate with the pillow covers that I made for my porch.
Using my Silhouette, I cut out the herb names using the font Graphite Std. Wide. I also used the chevron pattern that came free with the Silhouette software. I chose white vinyl to make the herb names really pop on the brightly colored pots.
I think my vinyl markers really add the finishing touch to my herb garden pots. I’m looking forward to enjoying lots of fresh herbs in my recipes this summer!
