I am all about parties.  From the planning, to the decorating, to the big day…I love it all. Decorating for parties can get expensive but not if you DIY!  Here is a simple tutorial for quick and easy Rainbow Tissue Paper Pom Poms.

These can be used for a Spring themed party, a Rainbow Party or for your St. Patrick’s Day festivities.

SUPPLIES FOR TISSUE PAPER POM POMS

  • Tissue paper
  • Floral Wire
  • Scissors
  • Fishing Line

HOW TO MAKE TISSUE PAPER POM POMS

Start with about 8 pieces of tissue paper.  I stacked and folded mine in half and cut down the middle.  This was the size of my tissue paper sheets before I started folding. The size of the pom pom depends on how wide your tissue paper is.  The wider the tissue paper, the bigger the pom pom.

Fold the tissue paper into an accordian shape.

Once done folding, Twist the floral wire around the center and form into a loop (this is how you will hang your pom pom)

Cut the end of the paper into a rounded shape or a point

Carefully separate the pieces of tissue paper one by one.  This is how it looks after one side is done.

Separate the other side and “fluff” until you get the look you want. Thread fishing line through the floral wire loop and hang.

I created six of these in less than an hour.

I love these! I made them for my baby shower, my baby shower, and my daughter’s pink princess birthday party. They make any celebration pop.
