The summer is coming to a close but there is still time to enjoy a refreshing summer cocktail. I created some amazing White Sangria courtesy of Barefoot Refresh® to serve at my end-of-summer parties. Make a pitcher for your Labor Day celebration and send summer off with a bang.
Summer is my favorite season when it comes to drinks. This summer, I made several different spritzer drinks and they have become my new favorite. Sipping on fruity spritzers with friends is my idea of the perfect way to spend a summer day. I’m a big fan of sangria but I have never tried white sangria until the other day. Our friends are coming down to visit us at the beach for Labor Day weekend and I thought that it would be the perfect time to whip up a pitcher of this classic summer drink.
There are so many ways that you can make white sangria. I love recipes that I can customize with different ingredients and white sangria is one of them.
The basic recipe consists of a white spritzer base, citrus fruit, club soda or lemon lime soda, and additional liquor such as triple sec. The liquor is completely optional and I did not use it in my recipe but if you want to add a bit more kick to your sangria, add some in. I searched a lot of recipes and combined a bit of each one to give you my take on white sangria. I used Barefoot Refresh® Crisp White Spritzer which is a light-bodied spritzer. Because I used a spritzer, I eliminated the soda from the sangria.

White Sangria

Another end-of-summer celebration? My birthday! If you don’t know what to get me, just show up with a pitcher of white sangria and we’ll be instant friends forever.

Sounds delicious! White wines are my fave, so I’d probably like this more than the average sangria!

I love white more than red too, Amy. One of the reasons why I’m in love with this recipe.
