I’ve been a Crock Pot fan for a very long time.  I just love the fact that you can put a few ingredients in it in the morning, let it go and by dinner you have a delicious meal.  But then I discovered the Instant Pot.  If you aren’t familiar with the Instant Pot, it is a pressure cooker so what once took all day in the crock pot can be cooked in a few hours in the Instant Pot.  I was lucky enough to get an Instant Pot for Christmas and am so very excited to try it out and see how it does with recipes like my hawaiian chicken and baked potato soup. Did you know that you can combine the Instant Pot with Freezer Cooking? I’ve recently signed on with a meal planning service called Once a Month Meals which specializes in freezer meals.  You can build custom meal plans from their database of over 600 meals. They also have a great section of the website dedicated to Instant Pot meals.

After you build your menu, you can then print out the menus, shopping lists and prep instructions to create an entire month’s worth of meals in one day. Think of all the time you will save when you have an entire month’s worth of dinners ready to go!  I stocked my freezer a few weeks ago and it has been so great to not have to worry about what is for dinner every night.
