Pizza is one food that I cannot live without. Alas, we are trying to eat a bit more healthy and pizza is not the food that comes to mind when I think healthy. But you can make it a bit better for you by using whole wheat pizza dough, topping it with veggies and using this homemade pizza sauce recipe.
One thing that I love about homemade food is that you know exactly what is going into it. This recipe has 3 ingredients and takes about 15-20 minutes to make.
3 Ingredient Pizza Sauce Recipe
- 2 TBS olive oil
- 2 cloves fresh minced garlic or 2 tsp. jarred minced garlic
- 1 can 28 oz. crushed tomotoes
Heat oil and garlic in a saucepan over medium heat for approximately 2 minutes
Add tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes
Done! Talk about easy. This recipe makes enough sauce for 2 12 inch pizzas. The amount shown in the jar is what was left after 1 pizza. This recipe fills approximately 2 mason jars.
This pizza sauce recipe is so delicious and better than anything I have had from a store bought jar.
This pizza sauce recipe is perfect to use to make a grilled margherita pizza!
