DIY Memo Board Station
My daughter has finally decided that the princess decor in her room is just too “baby”. She wanted a big girl room and recently picked out a pink and black theme. She is very into art and you can always find her in her room sketching her newest masterpiece. If you have a little artist in your family, you know that the paper piles up quickly. She needed a place to display her artwork so I decided to make her a Memo Board Station to coordinate with her new room colors.
This project is super simple. You will need a clipboard, paint and washi tape. Paint your clipboard using a sponge brush. You can get a small paint sample for a couple bucks at your local home improvement store. Depending on the color that you choose, it will probably take a few coats of paint.
After the paint is dry, place a strip of washi tape at the bottom. I chose black with white polka dots to coordinate with my daughter’s bedroom. Washi tape comes in so many colors and designs, it is easy to find something that fits your decor.
My daughter loves displaying her artwork. Although she has moved past the princess stage, she still really enjoys drawing fairies. Her favorite part is drawing all the different outfits. I’m convinced she is on her way to become a famous fashion designer.
This project works in any room in the house. You can make memo boards to hold recipes and schedules in your kitchen; you can use them near your front door to hold important papers or you can use them in a craft room.
