Coca Cola Football Float

Are you throwing a party for the Big Game? When preparing your Gameday spread, don’t forget the desserts! Today I’m sharing an old favorite with a twist that is perfect for football fans. A Coca Cola Football Float!

Everyone needs a beverage while watching the game and this one comes in a themed coozie with a chocolate football treat!To make a Coca-Cola Football Float, you’ll need Coca Cola and vanilla ice cream both of which you can find inexpensively at Walmart.

You’ll also need some melting chocolate and white icing.

To prepare your float, pour Coca Cola into a mason jar until it is approximately half full.  Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The Coca Cola will fizz up a bit. Wait until it stops fizzing and add one more scoop of ice cream to the top.

To make the chocolate footballs:
Melt the chocolate according to the directions. Pour the melted chocolate into a squeeze bottle.
Pipe the chocolate into a football shape on wax paper or a plastic storage bag. If you have a football shaped cookie cutter, you can use that as a template. After you pipe the outside of the football shapes, fill them in.Don’t worry that it is messy. This will be the back side of the football.

The chocolate hardens pretty quickly. When the chocolate is hardened, peel the football shapes off of the wax paper and turn over. Pipe the laces onto the smooth side with white icing.

Place the chocolate football into the ice cream scoop on top of the Coca Cola Football Float.

You can make the cute football field coozie by cutting a strip of green felt and placing strips white tape along the felt. Then wrap the felt around the mason jar and secure in the back with tape.
