Movie night is a weekly occurance in our house and my family has been on a Harry Potter kick lately. I like to make movie night snacks that go along with the theme so for our most recent movie night, I made these Harry Potter Broomstick Snacks.
How adorable are those? Great for movie night or for a party. These are so easy and quick to put together. I found most of the supplies at Walmart including the movie! For a limited time (until November 24), you can get the DVD for $5 and Blue Ray for $7.88. I purchased Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire but the Deathly Hallows is also available. You can find the full list of participating stores here.
To make the Broomstick Snacks you will need:
Orville Redenbacher’s Microwave Popcorn
Pretzel Rods
Brown Paper bags
Twine
Exacto/craft knife
Ruler
Cutting mat
Place the paper bag onto the cutting mat. Make vertical slits in the paper bag, starting approximately 1 inch from the top and ending approx. 1 inch from the bottom.
Mix the popcorn and M&M’s together and place a small amount in the bottom of the bag.
Gather the top of the bag, insert a pretzel rod and tie with twine.
This is the perfect mixture of salty and sweet. A movie snack that can be eaten right out of the bag.
