LETTERING SUPPLIES I RECOMMEND

There are so many hand lettering supplies out there and everyone has their own preference. But here are the supplies that I have used and can recommend.

  • Tombow Dual Brush Pens –  These pens have a flexible brush tip and also a non-flexible tip. They come in SO.MANY.COLORS. Currently, I have the Brights, Galaxy, and Pastels.
  • Tombow Fudenosuke – these pens give you a thinner line than the Dual Brush Pens. I love them because I can get a really thin upstroke. They now come in colors but I just have basic black.
  • ipad Pro, Apple Pencil and Procreate app (for digital lettering) – since I got my iPad Pro a few years ago, it has been my go-to way to create hand lettering. It is an investment but well worth it for all the amazing things you can create. Check out this post to learn how to use these practice sheets in Procreate.
  • Canson Mixed Media paper – I like this paper because it does not destroy my brush tip pens.
